BRANDING NEWS: Manchester United sign training ground deal
Manchester United’s Carrington training ground will be known as the AON training complex following the conclusion of a £120 million sponsorship deal.
The agreement sees the insurance company’s name attached to the facility for eight years and means it can expect to see its branding on United’s training kits at domestic fixtures.
AON, United’s current shirt sponsors, have also been unveiled at the club’s oversees tours ‘presenting partner’ from this summer.
Phil Clement, Aon’s global chief marketing and communications officer, said: “This announcement is the next step in the evolution of our partnership with Manchester United.
“Together, Aon and Manchester United have been working on two critical issues for a growing global business; managing risk and highly performing teams.”
AON are to be replaced by Chevrolet as Manchester United’s main kit sponsors from the start of the 2014-15 season.
