BRANDING NEWS: Xerox strikes deal to support SMEs

B2B brand Xerox and its partner Document Express have agreed a long-term partnership with The British Chambers of Commerce (BCC) to support the small business sector.

The partnership deal includes Xerox's three-year sponsorship of the Entrepreneur of the Year category in the BCC's annual Chamber Awards, as well as a range of other activities to be announced later this year.

The move will further strengthen reach for Xerox, already one of the UK's leading print solutions providers, within the small to medium business sector, although it is unclear as yet what its future activities in conjunction with the BCC will include.

David Frost, director general of the BCC, says, "We are delighted to announce that Xerox and Document Express have become our partners. Right across the UK, many businesses use Xerox products day in and day out. We are looking forward to a critical support to our members in better document management and production."

Darren Cassidy, general manager and director for office group, Xerox UK, adds, "Xerox has a long and proud history of supporting Britain's small businesses, and is dedicated to finding new ways to improve productivity and efficiency. We are delighted to work with the BCC to extend this with a strategic partnership that we hope will help Britain's critical small business sector further enhance their approach to document management and presentation."

The national winners of the Chamber Awards 2007 will be announced on November 29. Other brand sponsors include BT and Microsoft.
