MOBILE MARKETING NEWS: Google improves Apps with QuickOffice acquisition

Google has acquired mobile software company QuickOffice and intends to integrate the technology into its Google Apps.

The QuickOffice app has enabled many marketers to create and edit documents, including Microsoft Office apps, on smartphones or tablet devices; as seen in our review of the app.

In a blog post announcing the acquisition, Alan Warren, engineering director at Google said, “Quickoffice has a strong base of users, and we look forward to supporting them while we work on an even more seamless, intuitive and integrated experience.

“We're excited to welcome the Quickoffice team and their users to Google.”
