NEWS: Booming economy sees marketing vacancies soar by 78%
The number of marketing jobs advertised in the UK has increased by 78 per cent year-on-year according to research from specialist recruiter Robert Walters.
The research revealed that the growth in demand for marketing professionals compared to Q2 2014 was highest in the North West at 86 per cent, followed by 75 per cent in London and a rise of 74 per cent was also seen in the Midlands.
Demand for marketing professionals has also grown compared to the first quarter of this year. Nationwide, vacancies are up 55 per cent in Q1 compared to Q2 of this year.
Ben Stevenson, associate director, marketing, commented on the findings: “The continuing rise of the technology industry has played a big role in driving this demand with online marketing playing a key part in driving these new organisations forward. There are significant wins that smaller organisations can now make through hiring social media marketers who are able to reach wide audiences very quickly through intelligent and creative campaigns."
