NEWS: Projected business growth will result in more marketing jobs
The marketing sector is set to enjoy a surge in recruitment levels, according to a survey by Robert Walters.
In anticipation of a spike in business growth this year, 71 per cent of marketing managers will be looking to add to their workforce in the second half of the year.
The survey revealed 58 per cent of employers will be seeking junior-level staff and 60 per cent hiring mid-level executives.
Eighty-three per cent of hiring managers cited anticipated business growth as the deciding factor behind expanding their workforce.
Ben Stevenson, associate director of marketing recruitment at Robert Walters, commented: “The recent economic boom has brought with it new opportunities for businesses to expand. This, in turn, has left employers eager to increase headcount in their marketing teams.
“Employer’s new recruitment strategies reflect the need to bring more mid-level professionals on board, and to recruit junior level staff. As the economic situation has become more stable, employers are increasingly willing to take on new marketing projects with a ‘spend money to make money’ approach. As a result, professionals with experience in digital, campaign management and events are in demand.”
