NEWS: UK Gmail users can now send money via email
UK Gmail users can now send their contacts money with Google Wallet via email.
Launched in the US in May 2013, this free service allows people to transfer money to their contacts even if they don’t have a Gmail address.
To attach money to an email, the user just has to hover over the paperclip icon and click the pound sign to enter the amount and press send.
The feature will be open to UK Gmail users over 18-years-old in coming weeks.
To receive money users will have to set up a Google Wallet Balance linked to their debit card or bank account.
