SEARCH MARKETING NEWS: Google launches facility in Tech City
Google has joined other brands such as Deloitte and Telefonica and launched a facility to help mentor startups.
The search giant has collaborated with partners Central Working, Tech Hub, Seedcamp and Springboard to create Campus London based in east London’s Tech City. The space was opened by chancellor of the exchequer, George Osborne and will host daily events, run regular speaker series and lectures, provide mentorship and training from local Google staff as well providing a workspace for budding entrepreneurs.
Speaking about Campus in his blog post Eze Vidra, head of Campus London, said, “We welcome members of the startup community: entrepreneurs, investors, developers, designers, lawyers, accountants, etc. and hope that this informal, highly concentrated space will lead to chance meetings and interactions that will generate the ideas and partnerships that will drive new, innovative businesses.”
