SEARCH MARKETING NEWS: Microsoft and Yahoo bond tightens

Work to transfer Yahoo’s back-end search technology over to the Bing platform in several key European markets is underway.

The shift has already taken place in the Americas and New Zealand, and represents the next stage of the two companies increasingly close search relationship.

A press release accompanying the news states that although ‘this significant evolution of the search landscape does not impact on search advertising yet, website owners may wish to reassess their SEO strategy.’
