SEARCH NEWS: Mobile search demand shaping B2B news service

The increasing prevalence of mobile search has led to regional business news website launching a new suite of mobile sites.

Offering full access to news, as well as archived content and a business directory, the new websites will support 99 per cent of mobile devices.

David Parkin, managing director of TheBusinessDesk, said: "The growth in mobile search and the demand from our users for multiple routes to our free content is a very important part of our strategy to lead digital regional business news.

"We have tens of thousands of visits to our online directories every week, and this is another way that our readers can access these resources when they are travelling or away from their desktops. Crucially, advertisers can benefit from the growth in mobile search."

The news is in line with the report released last week by search and social conversion agency Tamar suggesting that desktop search is falling 15 per cent annually, as Smartphone€™s become increasingly popular.
