SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETING: Salesforce launches tools to complement social enterprise offering
Salesforce has launched two new products to complement its social enterprise offering at its Cloudforce San Francisco 2012 event.
In response to what it calls an ‘antiquated process’ the enterprise cloud computing company has launched Salesforce Rypple; a social performance management system. With the aim of engaging all employees, Rypple will allow HR managers to set goals, manage objectives and provide feedback via the company’s employee social network.
Site.com, also launched at Salesforce’s conference, is a cloud content management system (CMS) built for the social enterprise. It is designed to allow marketers to deliver a consistent brand experience to customers and prospects.
Speaking about the announcements, Marc Benioff, chairman and CEO of Salesforce said, “Salesforce is seeing unstoppable demand for the social enterprise as companies see their customers and employees become more social and mobile by the day. With Salesforce Rypple and Salesforce Site.com, we’re excited that companies will now be able to extend their social enterprise to reach every employee and every customer.”
