SOCIAL MEDIA NEWS: Instagram use down 50 per cent
Daily use of image sharing social network Instagram has halved in the last month, according to Appstats.
The Facebook-owned network has suffered since its controversial announcement regarding changes to its privacy and rights policy.
The changes, set to come into force later this week, meant users had to agree Instagram could use uploaded photos, likenesses and usernames for advertising purposes without gaining user permission.
Though exact usage stats for apps are notoriously difficult to pin down, there’s no denying the dip will give Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms that rely on engaged user bases, food for thought.
