SOCIAL MEDIA NEWS: LinkedIn rolls out ‘follow’ button
LinkedIn has launched a new ‘follow company’ button for brands to embed on their website.
Similar to ‘liking’ a brand on Faceboook or ‘following’ a company on Twitter, followers will receive automatic updates from the brand in their LinkedIn feeds.
Once logged in to LinkedIn, users will be able to follow companies by clicking the ‘follow company’ button – if a user is not logged in they will be asked to do so after clicking on it.
Writing in his blog post Mike Grishaver, senior product manager for company pages at LinkedIn said, “We’re excited to announce the launch of LinkedIn’s Follow Company button. Starting today, companies will be adding this button to their websites, making it easier for anyone on the web to begin following companies of interest, on LinkedIn.”
