TECHNOLOGY NEWS: Google launches Marketplace for business apps
Google has launched its Apps Marketplace to allow customers and developers easier management and access to cloud applications for enterprise use that integrate with Google appliances.
More then 50 third party companies currently sell business apps for Google including payroll, software development suites and project management applications.
Once installed to a company's domain, the third-party applications work like Google applications, interacting with calendars, emails, documents and contact data to increase productivity.
Google said its Apps Marketplace, which takes on Microsoft's similar apps offering, will eliminate worry about software updates, keeping track of different passwords and manual syncing and sharing of data, thereby increasing business productivity and lessening frustrations for users and IT administrators alike.
