Top 100 software companies with best customer satisfaction revealed | B2B Marketing

Slack has topped a ranking of 100 software companies based on customer satisfaction in 2017.

Scores were based on customer reviews and combined with market presence and satisfaction. This saw the instant messaging software take the top spot, scoring 100 on customer satisfaction, while e-commerce business Shopify came a close second, with just one point less.

Other companies that scored full marks on customer satisfaction were WordPress (6th) and SurveyMonkey (7th), but a lower market presence score dragged them both down the rankings.

The list was also separately segmented into the top 50 small-business, mid-market and enterprise software companies. Employee engagement software 15Five (45th overall) topped the small businesses list while MailChimp (4th) secured top position in the mid-market ranking. Unsurprisingly, enterprise businesses dominated the top 10, with the exception of MailChimp, SurveyMonkey and video conferencing provider Zoom (9th) who represented the mid-market sector.

This was the first year the annual list collated by peer-to-peer tech review site G2 Crowd was ranked by company rather than product.

Ryan Bonnici, CMO at G2 Crowd, said: “Every day we collect and share real user reviews on products, but with Best Software Companies we are stepping back and taking a macro-level look at how real customers feel about some of the world’s most notable brands.”

Tim Handorf, G2 Crowd co-founder and CEO, added: “This list recognises the voices of those users and they are telling us that these companies have designed great products that are meeting the needs of their customers.”
