Twitter updates Android app
Twitter has launched a range of updates for its Android app to promote 'friendlier photo sharing'.
These updates includes new photo editing software and timeline tweaks. Now if a user updates their home feed and there are no new tweets they will be shown recommended tweets, trending topics and account suggestions.
Matt Belland, software engineer at Twitter, explained the new photo editing feature in a blog post: ‘Now you can crop your photos by selecting an aspect, such as square or wide. You can rotate an image before you share it to make sure it fits nicely in your Tweet. And when you upload a photo of people, you’ll see a reminder to @ mention your friends so they can see your photo too.’
The social media network said the update will be avaliable for iPhone soon.
