Editor-in-chief and co-founder
As editor-in-chief of B2B Marketing, and one of its founders, Joel plays a strategic role in the company, focusing on the development of all B2B Marketing's content, products and services – including events, training, reports and the magazine. He's also an ambassador and evangelist for B2B more generally, and a regular speaker at conferences and at inhouse marketing team meetings. When he’s not banging the drum for B2B, he’s interested in cycling, architecture, history and Bristol City FC. You can find him tweeting here.
Publisher and co-founder
Cats, dogs, mice, James has seen it all! Never more engaged with the world than when prefixed with B2B. James has been both road warrior and tree hugger for the quadrillion-dollar worldwide B2B business community; ever since he was born as an acorn on a mountain top. With many anecdotes about why B2B is the ‘West’s’ best export' and why marketing Carlsberg, in the B2C world, would (probably) be worse than death, James is considered a moderate. Handy with a calculator, poor at splleing – James has modelled himself on Sean Bean’s infamous Richard Sharpe, all the way down to faking a Sheffield accent during high-powered meetings. Head of media
Mitch oversees the event and media portfolio, and brings over 20 years sales and publishing experience to the role. At 6’6 Mitch is without doubt one of the tallest men in media, and still insists on keeping his Hoxton fin for even more added height - well after hair gell went out of fashion. In the outside world Mitch can be found climbing trees with his two boys, sketching portraits and drinking a few cheeky vodkas.
Head of enterprise sales
As B2B Marketing’s senior enterprise account manager, Sarah looks after the company's corporate clients. She strives to help all B2B marketers succeed together through shared experiences, insights and ideas so that everyone can achieve their goals as a business, a department, a leader or someone just starting their journey as in B2B. Outside of B2B Marketing, Sarah occasionally moonlights as a country singer, frequently attends weddings, and goes to see as many shows, gigs, and plays as possible.
As finance director, Barry oversees the day-to-day running of the company’s accounts department alongside assisting company growth and strategic direction. Outside B2B Marketing, Barry’s currently studying for his level one FA coaching badge to help the development of his son’s football team.
Senior event manager
Scott… is from Scotland. As events manager, Scott plays a key role in managing all B2B Marketing events and B2B Awards programmes throughout the year, while still finding time to eat haggis and cycle without a helmet. When he’s not multi-tasking, he’s cooking up a storm in the kitchen. But he’s yet to win the B2B Bake Off… in fact, has anyone? Find him tweeting here.
Head of marketing
Having spent several years as a twirly, hoofing it on the international stage, Jason decided to ditch the dance shoes with his shins still intact and enter the dizzying world of marketing. After a brief stint in Canary Wharf he joined the cool kids in Farringdon as B2B Marketing's events campaign manager, where he works on all of the wonderful and diverse events the company offers, as well as its professional development and training offering. Jason is constantly teased for his love of his newly-laid lawn and obsession with his beloved greyhound Nina.
Nicola works on all things design. Her responsibilities span the company’s diverse range of output, from its quarterly print magazine to its events portfolio, and its various Premium, free download and partnered reports, to social media and website assets. When not pushing her creative limits in the office, you’ll usually find Nicola sipping on a variety of fruity teas, shopping for bargain wardrobe additions, or cooking… (always cooking, baking or eating). She’s also recently rediscovered her love of tap dancing and dreams of one day permanently transforming into the red dancer emoji.
Senior enterprise account manager
Having developed a passion for working with marketers over the past couple of years, Alex is now an account manager offering training opportunities and events, the latest industry news and best practice advice online, it’s his goal to ensure he provides marketers of all levels of seniority with the resources they need to succeed in a constantly evolving industry. Outside work, Alex is a sports enthusiast. He loves going to the gym and playing football, golf and tennis. At weekends, he’ll most likely be found following his beloved football team West Ham up and down the country, watching films on the big screen, or socialising with friends over a cold beer.
Media account manager
Shevaun is an account manager with our media sales team, connecting partners with our audience through event sponsorship and media opportunities. As a marketing graduate Shevaun is passionate about helping B2B professionals to stay up to date with marketing trends and further their careers. She's perhaps happiest when on the water – rowing and sailing – or relaxing on beach holidays.
As part of the Account Management team, James supports client-side Marketers from across the B2B Industry in their professional development journeys. He can help you in empowering your marketing team by connecting you to fellow industry peers, and B2B Marketing’s in-house practitioners. Outside of B2B, James has a passion for music, travel, and football. At the weekends, you’ll usually find James in a coffee shop, attending music gigs and festivals, or trying out a new veggie dish.
David joined B2B Marketing in the first weeks of national lockdown, continuing his career as an editor. Starting the role from a dining room two hours away was not what he expected, but he’s grateful for the three-second commute down the stairs. In his spare time, he plays guitar and sings in his band, which regularly plays all over London (or, rather, which did, before the world came to a halt).
Media Marketing Executive
Jack joined the company in February 2020, so he had the luxury of spending a full month in the office before the tide of WFH swept the nation. True to his name, he’s a Jack of all trades and master of one. This, of course, is marketing.
At B2B Marketing, Jack oversees the webinar programme and manages an abundance of client campaigns. You’ve probably read an email of his (or 5).
In his spare time, he enjoys going to the gym, socialising and is often seen with a glass of San Miguel in his hand. However, he's had little chance to practice his first two hobbies recently, so he’s spent most of his time on the latter.
