Eventbrite makes first EMEA marketing appointment

Eventbrite, the online self ticketing platform, has announced its first EMEA marketing hire with the appointment of Marion Gamel as head of EMEA marketing.

Based in Eventbrite’s London office Gamel will be responsible for broadening the European reach of the ticketing platform’s services.

Gamel has previously worked with AdLINK and Google, where she spent seven years. While with the company she worked as the country marketing manager for the UK and Ireland and as the head of marketing for Google in South Africa; Middle East and Africa and emerging Eastern European markets.

Speaking about the appointment, Kevin Hartz, CEO and co-founder of Eventbrite said, “Marion’s experience across Europe, the Middle East and Asia will be imperative to us as we continue to bring our offering to people around the world. We have been searching for the candidate who reflects our brand and beliefs to spearhead Eventbrite’s European marketing efforts and believe we have found this in Marion.”
