Ford has launched a TV campaign to advertise its expanded commercial van range which now includes the new Transit, Ranger pickup and the Transit Custom Plug-in-Hybrid.
The TV advert aims to show Ford’s role and reliability in keeping UK businesses moving. The commercial shows professionals including plumbers, steel workers, construction workers, window cleaners, farmers and brands such as Sky and RNLI, all using Ford’s commercial vehicles.
The backbone of Britain
The campaign is entitled ‘The Backbone of Britain’ and is the latest instalment of the campaign which originally began in 1997.
As well as TV, the campaign will appear on radio, newspapers, billboards and social platforms in the UK. Its launch was also scheduled to tie in with the Commercial Vehicle show at the NEC in Birmingham.
In a note to Ford employees, Stuart Rowley, president at Ford of Europe, said: “With the strength and importance of the Ford commercial vehicle (CV) line-up in Britain, this new campaign is a significant investment that highlights the strength of our CV business and 54 years of market leadership in the UK, while also demonstrating our latest vehicles for 2019 – including the new Transit, Ranger pickup and the Transit Custom Plug-in-Hybrid – and highlighting Ford’s contribution to keeping business in Britain on the move.”
