Spend management tech business Coupa has appointed Chandar Pattabhiram as CMO.
Pattabhiram’s role will be to manage all aspects of the company’s marketing including leading the company’s global marketing strategy.
He was previously CMO of the marketing automation company Marketo, where he repositioned the brand as a digital marketing leader. During his 23-year career Pattabhiram has worked at multiple technology companies, including Badgeville, IBM and Cast Iron Systems, and was named one of LinkedIn’s five CMO’s to follow in June.
Pattabhiram said: “I am honoured to join such a world-class company and my vision is to create a marketing engine that helps build the best brand, drive revenue and ultimately win the marketing battle in the spend management sector.”
Rob Bernshteyn, CEO at Coupa, added: “Chandar is a proven, results-driven marketing executive who strongly believes that fostering a culture of empowerment, recognition and fun is the key formula for building and scaling high-performance marketing teams.”
