FT.com subscriptions exceed daily print circulation

The FT has revealed strong digital growth as its digital subscriptions have increased by 31 per cent year-on-year.

The results for the first half of 2012 equate to over 300,000 FT.com subscriptions, and 4.8 million registered users. The organisation’s global paid-for circulation has increased to 600,000 year-on-year, and its daily global audience reached almost 2.1 million.

John Ridding, FT CEO said, “The FT’s successful financial performance underlines our ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment, as well as our investment in new products and services for an increasingly multichannel audience. Our growth in this tough climate reflects the measures we took early on, especially to build our content revenues and to drive digital and mobile delivery.”
