Google+ has undergone a major overhaul in an attempt to inject life into its ailing platform.
The redesign includes a new layout, with increased focus on its two most popular features; communities and collections.
Google has redesigned its social network service with cross-platform optimisation in mind, promising in a recent blog post “a fast and consistent experience whether you are on a big screen or small one.”
In the same post, Google claimed the communities feature was generating an average of 1.2 million new joins per day, highlighting the decision behind putting its most popular aspect front and centre.
The stripped-back version rolled out across the web, iOS and Android yesterday.
