Heathrow has unveiled a sponsorship opportunity for a brand looking to reach the thousands of business travellers who pass through Terminal 5 every year.
Last month the airport launched battery powered pods to carry travellers from the Terminal 5 business car park and the main terminal, it is now looking for a brand to take the seven-figure three year sponsorship package.
The package will start in January 2012 and include sponsorship of the pod stations, the pods themselves, video screens inside the pods and directional signage within car parks and the terminal. The tender process will begin on 24 October when potential sponsors are invited to register their interest, the process will culminate in an e-auction, hosted on an online portal.
Juan Perez, head of media and sponsorship at Heathrow said, “The Heathrow pod system is a world first, making this a one-of-a-kind sponsorship opportunity. It will give the successful brand a unique way to engage with the high number of business passengers that come through Heathrow each year.”
