HP serves an ace as Davis Cup official technology sponsor

HP has become the official technology sponsor of the Davis Cup, an international team tennis event, today announcing a four year deal.

As well as on-court banners and on on-site hospitality with HP branding, it is said the technology company will advise the International Tennis Federation (ITF) on new ways to develop its IT systems and Internet properties.

The ITF sees a positive outcome for itself and the sport with having such a high profile company as a sponsor. ITF president, Francesco Ricci Bitti, says, “The company has a huge global reach and diverse customer base, and we believe HP will be an outstanding partner for Davis Cup by BNP Paribas.”

He continues, “Technology is one of the world’s true growth areas, and we look forward to working with HP on the enhancement of our own technology systems.”

HP has become the seventh international sponsor for the competition which begins this week. The title sponsor is BNP Paribas, others include Rolex, Hugo Boss and NH Hotels.
