HSBC has appointed communications agency Hill+Knowlton Strategies to handle the media relations for the bank’s sponsorship of the Cutty Sark.
Hill+Knowlton will be focusing on combining the famous tea clipper’s cultural history and HSBC’s expertise on global trade.
Speaking about the ship’s history with the trade industry, Giles Morgan, group head of sponsorship at HSBC said, “We still see trade as the biggest driver of economic and business growth today, which our partnership with the Cutty Sark Trust reflects. H+K Strategies are a trusted communications partner of the bank, and we are impressed by their approach to bringing the partnership to life.”
HSBC’s sponsorship of the Cutty Sark will be a four year project and marks the completion of the ship’s six year, £50 million, restoration.
