ICT company Huawei has launched a corporate campaign to promote the economic and tech value it brings to the UK.
Huawei’s campaign, ‘A fully connected Britain is a fully united Britain’, will feature in print, digital and outdoor advertising across the country aiming to position the UK as a digital leader and boost the economy.
The campaign higlights the £1.7 billion worth of additional value to GDP, the 26,000 jobs it supports and the £470 million in tax revenues Huawei contributes to the UK.
In 2017, the UK government released its ‘Industrial Strategy’ aiming at building a Britain fit for the future. Huawei has committed to spending £3 billion in the UK over a five year period (2018 – 2022).
Jerry Wang, Huawei’s UK CEO, said: “We have operated in the UK since 2001 and supply all the major telecom operators with our products and solutions. As long-term investors we are committed to helping create jobs and opportunities, building partnerships and supporting local communities across the UK.”
