IBM has signed a seven-year $1.25 billion deal with global marketing communications group WPP with the aim of creating a hybrid cloud infrastructure.
IBM will provide a service delivery and technology platform that allows WPP to integrate its operations. The deal aims to enable WPP to up its digital offering and improve productivity.
This new infrastructure will also allow WPP to expand the use of big data and analytics, build its leadership, foster greater communications across its brands and develop new products and services quickly
Erich Clementi, senior vice president at IBM global technology services, said: “This announcement is a significant milestone in the deployment of enterprise cloud and extends IBM’s position as the premier global cloud platform.
“Our secure, open enterprise cloud platform will enable WPP to quickly deliver new innovations to their customers.”
