InfoUK supports first ever Home Enterprise Day

Business data and marketing company, infoUK has teamed up with home business website Enterprise Nation to support the UK’s first ever Home Enterprise Day on Friday 20 November.

InfoUK will be providing business data on home businesses and home business hotspots for Enterprise Nation’s Home Business Report.

Launching at the Enterprise Nation Conference, the Home Business Report will contain the latest facts and figures on home businesses and detailed findings from research conducted among home businesses starting and growing a business from home.

Richard Lloyd, general manager of infoUK, said, “We welcome the opportunity to breakdown some of the myths and out-of-date perceptions of home businesses.

“Our business and marketing data illustrates that the home isn’t just the location of choice for solo operators but the birthplace and home to a diverse and profitable business community.

“With many more people taking advantage of lower overheads and effective marketing to build profitable businesses from home, this rapidly growing business sector is becoming a real economic force in the UK.”

Home Business Day forms part of Global Entrepreneurship Week from the 16-21 November 2009.

Emma Jones, founder of Enterprise Nation and Home Business Report author, said, “This partnership with infoUK helps us take steps to create a clearer picture of just how big and impactful the home business sector has become. The plan is to collect data all year round and make this available to Local Authorities, Enterprise Agencies and Business Links, in the form of a quarterly Enterprise Nation Index.”
