Instagram has launched a new Snapchat-style feature called Instagram Stories.
The feature collates the photos and videos taken by a user, and presents them in a slideshow format.
It will certainly encourage more creativity from B2B brands who have taken the brave plunge into the world of Instagram, while giving those reticent to adopt the social media channel another nudge.
In a blog post announcing the launch of the feature, Instagram said: “With Instagram stories, you don’t have to worry about overposting. Instead, you can share as much as you want throughout the day – with as much creativity as you want.
“You can bring your story to life in new ways with text and drawing tools. The photos and videos will disappear after 24 hours and won’t appear on your profile grid or in feed.”
Instagram recently topped half a billion global users, with research predicting the Facebook-owned channel will grow far more quickly than any other major social media platform, making up more than half of all social network users by 2017.
