Instagram has revealed plans to extend advertising opportunities to companies of all sizes around the world.
Previously, ad campaigns were restricted to eight markets and a select number of companies.
This expansion means ad space is now available in over 30 new countries, including Spain, India and South Korea, and launching in even more markets around the world on September 30.
The campaign will also see maximum video ad length increased from 15 to 30 seconds and the introduction of a landscape format for image and video.
In a blog published today, Instagram said: “Over the past few months, we’ve been working to make ads on Instagram available to more types of businesses on a self-serve basis.
“People come to Instagram for visual inspiration, and advertising on Instagram has the power to touch, inspire and move people. Instagram ads have proven to drive strong branding results — 97 per cent of measured campaigns on Instagram have generated significant lifts in ad recall.”
