International B2B Marketing Awards 2018 winners revealed: Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner takes Grand Prix

Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner was declared the big winner at the 2018 International B2B Marketing Awards. It won Gold in both ‘Best use of direct mail’ and the ‘Grand Prix’.

The Grand Prix prize chooses the best campaign out of those that won Gold. This time it was BCLP’s ‘We can’t tell fortunes, but we can protect them’ campaign which sent fortune telling tea and fortune cookies to a target audience in Asia to raise awareness of the legal protections the company can offer.

Around 800 B2B marketers packed the Roundhouse in North London on Thursday 22 November to discover whose hard work would be recognised as the industry’s finest over the past 12 months.

There was more variety in wins than last year, with fewer companies winning multiple awards. Notably Embraer and Gravity Global picked up two golds, winning in both ‘Best use of creative’ and ‘Best international campaign’.

Bosch Professional and Clear B2B also won two golds by claiming victory in ‘Best use of social media’ and ‘Best limited-budget campaign’.

‘B2B marketing communications agency of the year’ went to Earnest, Harvard was named ‘Best PR agency of the year’, and Thomson Reuters (Legal UK&I) claimed ‘B2B brand of the year’.

This year also saw the addition of a new category ‘B2B marketer of the year’. This was awarded to Chris Harrop – group marketing and sustainability director at Marshalls. Chris was chosen due to his commitment to sustainability and passion for British manufacturing.
