IT services provider IPL will be sponsoring Bath RUFC next season in a bid to raise its profile in the private and public sector.
IPL provides its businesses and government agencies with software and information services. Some of its clients include; the Audit Commission, EADS, the Highways Agency, Orange and Thales.
The IT firm has initially signed up for one season – commencing on July 1 – with the option of an annual extension. IPL are Baths largest high-technology provider so company bosses saw the deal as a chance to “cement the relationship between two great Bath institutions.”
The deal will see Bath Rugby having the IPL brand on playing and replica shirts, team training wear, stadium and programme advertising. It also includes sponsorship of the Recreation Ground’s East Stand – which will be branded the IPL stand.
Shaun Davey, IPLs CEO commented: “We have been looking for an opportunity to communicate our capabilities to a wider audience both locally and nationally. This arrangement presents just such an opportunity.”
