Juniper Networks has become the global technology partner of the World Robot Olympiad Association.
The Olympiad involves is an international robotics competition for six to 25 year olds that focuses on solving challenges using maths, computer science and coding skills. It involves 23,000 teams from more than 70 countries, and this year’s final will take place in Chiang Mai, Thailand from 16-18 November.
The multi-year sponsorship deal also means the networking firm will sponsor a new trophy at the event, the Juniper Networks’ Engineering Simplicity Honors Award, and is sponsoring a short doumentary by film-maker James Redford following some of the teams and their path to the event.
