LinkedIn has released a list of words to be avoided if you are trying to stand out from the crowd on the professional social networking site.
Perhaps unsurprisingly, ‘creative’ is the most overused cliché, topping the most used word list in Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States.
It is interesting to note how cultural differences bring about different priorities. Copied below is the list of most overused terms, according to country:
–Creative: Australia, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States
–Multinational: Brazil
–Dynamic: France
–Effective: India
–Problem solving: Italy
–Motivated: Ireland
–Managerial: Spain
–Track record: Singapore
LinkedIn also revealed the top ten most overused terms from American users, and it can be viewed on a recent blog post.
