LinkedIn future vision unveiled

LinkedIn intends to build the world’s first ‘economic graph,’ according to its CEO Jeff Weiner.

That means the social network aims to map the global economy, ‘identifying the connections between people, jobs, skills, companies, and professional knowledge, and spot in real-time the trends pointing to economic opportunities.’

Weiner posted LinkedIn’s vision for the future in a blog on the site.

He discusses both short term and long term objectives for the company before going on to highlight the supposed global benefits of LinkedIn realising its ‘dream.’

At the time of writing, the post has attracted 143 comments from LinkedIn users, with the majority enthusing over LinkedIn’s stated objectives.
