LinkedIn has launched an API ad programme making it easier for marketers to run social media ad campaigns across the network.
The programme sees LinkedIn move away from its self service ad model and gives brands the opportunity to create more bespoke campaigns on the platform.
In a blog post announcing the move, Jennifer Weedn, marketing solutions lead at LinkedIn, said, “API access has been one of the most frequently requested features, and the launch of this new programme will empower developers to build custom tools and solutions specifically to help social marketers meet their goals.”
