LinkedIn launches ‘Endorsements’ tool

LinkedIn has launched a new tool, designed to help its users further develop their personal brands.

The professional social network is now allowing you to endorse skills listed on your contacts’ profiles.

If you think someone is good at copywriting and branding, you can publically endorse those skills, much like a Facebook ‘Like’.

David Breger, product manager at LinkedIn, introduced the new feature in a blog. He said, “On LinkedIn, you have many smart, talented, and skilled professional connections.

“Starting today, we are introducing Endorsements, a new feature that makes it easier to recognise them for their skills and expertise.”

The new functionality rolled out yesterday in the United States, India, New Zealand and Australia, and is expected to be available everywhere else ‘in the next few weeks.’
