LinkedIn has added a Facebook-style mentions feature in an aim to boost conversation across the network.
The new feature will allow users to start conversations by mentioning their connections and companies.
The ‘mentions’ feature, which is similar to what is available on Facebook and Twitter, was introduced to English-speaking members on Thursday. LinkedIn has confirmed that they plan to bring the new feature to all global members soon.
Angela Yoonjeong Yang, associate product manager at LinkedIn, said: “We know that LinkedIn members are some of the most engaged professionals online.
“After all, you are involved in millions of conversations across LinkedIn day after day. That’s why we want to make it even easier for you to start those conversations, share knowledge with one another and ultimately become even better at what you do.”
