LinkedIn tops 200 million members

LinkedIn now boasts more than 200 million members globally, an increase of 17 million since November 2012.

These 200 million users are drawn from more than 200 countries and the professional network is now served in 19 different languages.

Deep Nishar, senior vice president, products and user experience at LinkedIn, revealed the milestone in a blog posted on the site. No mention was made of how regularly these users visited the site, however.

Nishar said, “This milestone is more than just a metric — it’s a reminder of the global footprint and the scale of impact our network has each day.

“Members come first at LinkedIn and we remain focused on creating economic opportunity for every professional in the world. We look forward to bringing the power of the LinkedIn network to many more professionals in the coming years.”

LinkedIn produced an infographic, detailing more about the breakdown of its 200 million members, which can be viewed below.
