MAN launches Euro 6 campaign

MAN Truck & Bus UK has launched a Euro 6 campaign, ‘Six reasons to be überefficient’.

The activity aims to illustrate how MAN can help road transport operators tackle the cost implications of new Euro 6 emissions legislation which will become effective in January 2014. Plus, it aims to highlight how MAN products and services can help haulers to reduce their operating costs across six areas: driver training, fleet management, aftersales, rental, used vehicles and finance.

Created and developed by Connect, the activity will run across three major digital billboards on the M4, M5 and M6 as well as across print and online literature, point-of-sale and email marketing, supported by a microsite

The microsite aims to drive awareness of how MAN is the manufacturer of choice for Euro six products, having invested in research and development to develop fuel-efficient technology and products.

Antony Green, managing director of Connect, said: “The new Euro 6 legislations could incur a considerable increase in operating costs for hauliers – an issue which is not being addressed openly by the transport industry at large.

“We wanted to give MAN a fresh voice within the industry, addressing the issue head-on and showing how it can help fleets, drivers and vehicles be überefficient.”

Meanwhile, Martin Pickering, marketing communications manager at MAN, commented on the campaign: “Connect has played a very valuable role in communicating our position at the forefront of industry innovation in fuel-efficiency, and we expect to see an extremely strong return on this campaign as the industry prepares for the changes in 2014.”
