There has been a 30 per cent increase in the number of marketing roles advertised in Yorkshire in quarter one of 2014 compared to last year, according to new research by recruitment agency Elevation.
This includes a 25 per cent increase in the number of senior marketing positions available across the region.
Forty per cent of the marketing roles advertised in 2014 have been focused on online marketing, such as SEO, PPC, affiliate and online managers. However, there has been a 70 per cent decrease in direct marketing positions compared to the last two years.
Sarah-Lee Neesam, associate director at Elevation, said: “We are very pleased to see such a sharp increase in the number of vacancies in the marketing sector. They offer the chance for people across Yorkshire to take their next steps up the career ladder.”
