Marketo appoints Jamie Anderson as EMEA president

Former CMO of SAP Hybris Jamie Anderson has joined Marketo as EMEA president.

In his new role, Anderson will be responsible for overseeing the marketing automation business across EMEA, following Marketo’s recent expansion into UK, France, Germany and Ireland.

Last month Marketo agreed to a six-year collaboration with Google Cloud, which will see Marketo products transferred from its own servers onto the platform by 2019, in order to leverage client engagement.

Anderson’s previous position as senior VP and CMO at software company SAP Hybris saw him drive customer engagement and business growth across the firm’s marketing teams.

His experience in marketing and business development spans more than 20 years across a number of leadership roles and companies such as Adobe and Siebel.

Anderson said: “Meaningful customer engagement transforms not just the way customers think about a brand, but how they feel about it. Marketo and its customers sit at the very heart of engagement economy. I’m excited to be able to work closely with the global leadership team, as well as our regional partners and customers, to drive Marketo’s leadership in EMEA.”

Eric Johnson, CSO at Marketo, added: “His [Anderson’s] passion and energy – combined with his expertise leading revenue-focused teams at world-class organisations – will be essential as we double down on resources to best serve the EMEA region. As we navigate the engagement economy, Jamie will bolster Marketo’s ability to take its customers, employees and partners in the Marketing Nation to new levels of success.”
