Microsoft has announced that Internet Explorer will be replaced by the new Microsoft Edge browser when Windows 10 launches this summer.
The technology giant claims the new browser will be much faster, and will include new features such as the ability to doodle on top of web pages. In addition, Cortana – a virtual assistant similar to Apple’s Siri – will make your searches more personal.
Microsoft Edge will be launched with an updated logo that is clearly inspired by Internet Explorer’s simple ‘e’ design.
Meanwhile, Internet Explorer will still be available for a short period when Windows 10 launches in order to give users time to update. After this time the browser will be removed completely.
