Microsoft hires guerrilla rebrander

Microsoft has hired Andrew Kim, a young designer who published his own ideas regarding the direction in which Bill Gates’ old company should develop.

The company did end up changing its logo a few months after Kim published his ideas, though not directly in line with his suggestions.

Kim, who has received several employment offers since his Microsoft rebrand went viral last summer, has accepted a position working as a designer for Xbox.

He posted on his site MinimallyMinimal, “Working at a company is like getting married, it becomes a fundamental part of your life. I want to work with awesome people on awesome projects that I can get excited about. If you’ve been watching Microsoft over the past year, it’s been exciting, regardless of what your ecosystem preference is.”
