F5 Networks has appointed Mika Yamamoto to the new role of executive VP and chief marketing and customer experience officer.
The role will see Yamamoto lead F5’s marketing strategies while the tech company aims to evolve into a global multi-platform business. She will also ensure the customer remains at the centre of the company’s digital transformation initiative.
Yamamoto joins the company from Marketo where she was appointed as global president last August, a month before the marketing automation platform’s $4.5 billion purchase by Adobe. Previously she’s also held leadership roles at other big B2B brands including SAP, Amazon, Microsoft, Gartner and Accenture.
François Locoh-Donou, president and CEO at F5, said; “Mika brings to F5 deep expertise in her respective field, as well as proven leadership for companies that have undergone business transformations as significant as our own. I’m confident Mika will help accelerate F5’s transformation to a multi-cloud applications services company.”
Yamamoto will be based in Seattle in the US.
