MOI shortlisted for 2012 B2B Marketing Awards

In a year which has seen entries soar by almost 20%, the London, Sydney and San Francisco-based B2B technology marketing agency has been named as a finalist for both the ‘Best Use of Content Marketing’ and ‘Best Limited Budget Campaign’ awards.

“We’re thrilled to be shortlisted again, especially in two such crucial areas,” said Vanessa Cheal, MOI’s Managing Director. “Content marketing is increasingly seen as a way to generate sales by sharing expertise with customers, and in a time of continued economic pressure, many clients are looking for agencies that can use big ideas to maximise the return on smaller budgets.”

MOI’s micro-budget ‘Dinoverts’ campaign for Networks First aimed to raise awareness of the managed network services provider among large and midsize UK businesses. Its series of humorous videos starring a trio of plastic-dinosaurs gained significant coverage in online IT publications, with one video winning Information Age’s Innovation Award for Communications and Networking.

“It’s great to see this campaign receiving the recognition it deserves,” said Maria Goggin, Interim Head of Marketing, Networks First. “Standing out in a noisy market is a challenge for smaller businesses. I’m delighted with the way MOI used creativity to make the budget go a long way.”

MOI has also been also shortlisted for its own Technology Marketing in Mind initiative, an ambitious, year-long campaign that demonstrates the power of using high-quality content to inform and engage prospective customers. Featuring exclusive opinions and insights from senior marketing professionals in some of the world’s leading IT brands, including Dell, Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco and Fujitsu, Technology Marketing in Mind set out to create a source of practical information for B2B technology marketers, including new research, best-practice videos, blogs, webinars and more.

Launched in September 2011, it has already generated a significant amount of new business for the agency, and continues to win industry recognition as a source of B2B marketing guidance. “With Technology Marketing in Mind, we saw an opportunity to give something back to our industry,” said Vanessa Cheal. “We’ve been delighted with the positive feedback we’ve received in turn.”

In 2011, MOI won the B2B Marketing Award for Best Live Event, and came runner-up in Best International Campaign.

Marketing Options International was set up 25 years ago as a specialist B2B technology marketing agency offering a full range of marketing services.  With offices in London, Sydney, Singapore and San Francisco, it employs over 40 staff and was recently recognised for its outstanding event management capabilities in Europe.
