Former VP of consulting at DWA, Guy Phillips, has joined marketing agency MomentumABM as its new strategy director.
Phillips’ role within the company will be to improve customer engagement for the agency’s clients and also to align sales, marketing and product portfolios.
Previously VP of consulting at media agency DWA, he developed engagement strategies for B2B technology companies. During his 30 years of marketing experience, Phillips has developed an expertise in account-based marketing thanks to a variety of roles, including head of marketing and optimisation at Alchemy Worxx.
Phillips said: “Technology has transformed marketing and mostly in a positive way. However, over recent years, B2B clients have increasingly appreciated the importance of the human factor in marketing – of establishing, nurturing and growing relationships with individuals and teams who make purchasing decisions.
“There’s still a place for the old megaphone model advertising but marketers and their clients understand that ABM is a much more powerful way of influencing people, through dialogue and a commitment to understanding and solving their particular pain points.”
