Most corporates admit to money losing website errors

Only  13 per cent of large companies are confident their websites are error free according to a survey published by website governance company Magus.

The survey, of 200 UK website owners and senior digital decision makers in global companies, revealed 55 per cent of respondents cited inconsistent branding as a problem, 46 per cent said spelling mistakes and 39 per cent highlighted poor usability.

Digital marketing is an essential part of the mix for most brands, research conducted by Magus highlighted this further by revealing, 18 per cent of turnover could be at stake thanks to the errors mentioned above.

To prove the point Magus offer this example: “£1bn turnover and a 20 per cent profit margin would be risking around £180,000,000 in lost turnover and £36,000,000 in profit.” The website governance company has turned the survey  into an ebook – The seven critical mistakes websites make.
