MyHammer and HSS Hire hunt for the UK’s top tradesperson

Tradespeople directory, MyHammer, and tool and equipment hire supplier, HSS Hire, have launched the 2011 edition of the ‘Tradesperson of the year’ competition.

The competition, launched on April 9, is designed to champion the great and the good among Britain’s tradespeople. By pointing out the most trustworthy tradesmen and women in the country, it aims to build new confidence in the industry among customers.

Commenting on the news, John Russell, chief builder for Cowboy Builders, said, “It’s important that we recognise that quality tradesmen and women not only improve the reputation of the industry but also give customers the opportunity to select someone who is highly skilled and trained for the job.”

The competition encourages trades people to nominate themselves and customers to put forward their favourite tradespeople, through a dedicated website. The winner, chosen through a voting process, will receive a prize including £1000 to spend in HSS Hire, a year’s membership to MyHammer and the ‘Tradesperson of the year 2011’ logo to use on all promotional material.
