Next 15 buys Circle Research for £5.21 million with second major B2B acquisition in two days

Digital communications group Next 15 has acquired B2B market research firm Circle Research for £5.21 million.

It’s the second B2B acquisition the business has made in the past two days, having already snapped up agency Velocity Partners for £5.9 million yesterday. The acquisition was made through Next 15’s data and insights subsidiary, MIG Global.

Circle Research was founded by Andrew Dalglish, Beth Pearson and David Willan in 2006. Andrew and Beth will remain in their roles as joint MDs and although David will give up his role as chairman, he’ll continue to support the business in an advisory capacity.

Beth Pearson said: “We’re confident that joining MIG and Next 15 is a positive move for Circle’s clients and team. MIG shares our core values – great work, delighted clients and happy people – and will enhance our offering by bringing cutting-edge research technology and an on-the-ground international presence.”

The £5.21 million purchase is made up of a £3.01 million up-front payment, as well as £2.2 million for the net assets.

Tim Dyson, CEO of Next 15, added: “Next 15 is committed to building a deep data and insight capability at its core. The acquisition of Circle Research is an important step in that strategy, a powerful addition to the MIG data and insights offering, and we are excited to have it as a part of the group.”
