Nokia has unveiled its first range of Android smartphones, ‘the Nokia X family’.
The company made the announcement at the Mobile World Conference in Barcelona and the new family includes five handsets.
The mobile giant said the first three new Android devices, the Nokia X, X+ and XL, will be priced between the existing Asha and Lumia lines, at €89, €99 and €109 respectively, with the aim of appealing to new smartphone users looking for popular apps and their first cloud services.
The company’s new ‘family’ have large touch screen and come in variety of colours, reminiscent to Apple’s iPhone 5Sc. The phones also include a new, tile-based home screen.
All three of the devices are powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon Dual Core processor and are Dual SIM. A range of third-party apps comes preinstalled, including BBM, Plants versus. Zombies 2, Viber, Vine and Twitter. Plus, users can download more from the Nokia Store, third-party app stores and sideloaded.
